Berghotel Johanneshöhe Restaurant in Siegen

Paid a lot of money but got nothing offered! HEATING DEFECTIVE, hot water in the shower? NEGATIVE!! Staff? UNFRIENDLY! The first and last time! 1 star is too much!

Great new card. Everything looked great and tasted great. We would love to come back.

Simple hotel with medium-friendly staff. In summer barely bearable temperatures in the unair-conditioned rooms. You can sleep with the windows open, but then you are awake from 4 a.m. when the trucks leave. Breakfast would be great if the cold plates were protected from flies and chilled. Milk and juices were warm too. If it is well over 20 degrees in the morning and the heat is on at the buffet, the bacteria also have a party. It is not surprising that the food looks damaged as a result. Corona also celebrates a festival: no recognizable hygiene concept. No masks for the staff, no scheduled distances between the tables and a buffet. A positive point: the fried eggs were great (I didn't want anything from the buffet for the reasons mentioned above) and the lady in the kitchen was very nice.

The restaurant has a new chef. New menu and good dishes. We had the potato soup. We had the rump steak. We had the risotto. And the Pallatschinken. Everything was great.

A new chef !!!! The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Just great. KEEP IT UP!!!! We will definitely be back!

Last Friday my husband and I invited friends of ours for dinner in the restaurant. There was a special occasion to celebrate that evening. The interior of the restaurant was good and the view from the terrace was great. The waiter greeted us and took the order for all four of us. There was one other table with customers only, so we expected to get the food soon. What a surprise when after 30 min waiting another waitress came to confirm our friends' order. There was no explanation given to us as to why additional confirmation was needed. Their food was served in another 40 min, while our food was still not ready. My husband and I passionately waited while our friends finished their dinner. At one point we decided to ask what is going on and why it takes so long (1.5 hrs) for our food to be served. My husband and I were told that there was no order placed, so no dinner was coming for us. We looked at each other in disbelief. We left the restaurant hungry and very disappointed. It was a bad experience and it has never happened to us before anywhere in the world (we have visited 40 countries in the world so far). We will not go back to this restaurant and will definitely not recommend it to any of our friends.

Rating applies to the restaurant. On the evening of the visit, we were the only guests for the entire time. Top: view, furnishings, overall picture Flop: Service yelled at each other for 90 minutes with the kitchen door open. 40 minutes waiting time for the starter. Burger was underground. Feels like frozen meat and bone-dry bread. Jägerschnitzel was mediocre, but ok. Service was nice but not professional. We were very satisfied with the previous owner and were happy that the Johanneshöhe was open again. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Not again.

It starts with a clear entry / exit and parking lot, the street opposite is Edeka. Immediately at the entrance and reception you will notice a unique view of the city from the height. You can get the key from your room quickly and easily. My room was at the top of the roof, and definitely not the best of the hotel. It's perfectly fine for business trips, but you should book others for family outings. This hotel also has better rooms, but they are a bit more expensive. I liked: free parking, nice service, good WiFi, beautiful views, breakfast. The chairs make a little good impression here, as in the breakfast room as well as in the Gestezimmer.

The hotel staff are extremely helpful and really amazing people. They helped a lot with the luggage while checking in & out and with everything else as well. Thier free breakfast had many items to offer. The best part was the view from the window, you can see the mountains, the clouds and have a spectacular view of the entire city. It's a magnificent view to lay your eyes upon when you wake up. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Siegen to check this place out.

Nice Hotel. Stuffs are very warm welcoming and helpful. And the best part of the hotel is it's breakfast. They also have a bar.
